What are 3 Joint Chicken Wings?
Our Bulk Buy Chicken Wings are a full “3 Joint” wing cut from the breast. approx 90 grams each. There are 3 sections to a chicken wing; the 1st section is the Drumette, the thickest piece, 2nd is the flat middle section, with slightly less meat on it, 3rd is the wing Tip which has only a little meat on it. These are cut the same way as our regular 1 Kilo packs of Meaty Chicken Wing.
How do we make Chicken Wing?
Before cutting we select the medium to large whole chicken crowns to get the 90 gram portions. The chicken is chilled down to a temperature of 1-2°c before any cutting is done to reduce any loss of natural juices & keep the meat as fresh as possible. Our expert butchers carefully make a cut through the first joint where the Wings are attached to the Breasts. The Wings then have any remaining feathers removed & are checked for bruising & discolouration.

How do we pack our Chicken Wing?
We Loose pack our Wings in 3 Kilo sealed Recyclable pouches with approximately 30 portions per pack.
The Chicken Wings are cut & Blast Frozen as Individual Quick Frozen pieces (IQF) before being loosely bagged into clear recyclable bags. The quick freezing keeps the flavour, moisture & texture of the Wings for 2 years when stored at -18°c. You can enjoy the “just made taste” straight from the freezer.
To create safe tasty Wings you need a clean, temperature controlled & fast production facility.
All our production facilities are BRCGS / IFS approved that make any of our meat cuts or products. All refrigerated air is filtered in production rooms, the butchers & packing staff wear fully protective clothing, these precautions reduce natural bacteria. Operated with the highest hygiene & temperature controls to ensure you enjoy the same fresh taste up to 2 years after they are made.
The packaging stops any other foodstuffs in your fridge from flavour tainting or cross contamination to the Chicken Wings. The pouches prevent the loss of natural juices when thawing out in the fridge & when bringing up to room temperature in the kitchen.
In an effort to reduce our Carbon Footprint the plastic pouches are now made using stronger, thinner materials cutting down on our annual plastic use.
